Early life and education
Narendra Modi was born on September 16, 1950 in Baranagar, Mahesana district of Bombay Presidency (now Gujarat state) to a lower caste family of Ghanchi Teli community. He was the third of four children of his parents. . His father's name was Damodardas Mulchand Modi and his mother's name was Hiraben Modi. At the Baranagar railway station, he helped his father sell tea, and as a teenager, he sold tea with his brother near the bus stand. [23] [24] He finished his schooling as a quality student.

At the age of thirteen, he got married to a girl named Yashodaben Chimanlal, and at the age of eighteen, their marriage took place. They rarely spend time together as they later split up after Modi decided to follow the life of a traveler.
